My name is Denae, and I am currently based in Houston, Texas. Born in Toronto, I’ve always had an itch to explore and create. Spending a majority of my life in Cincinnati, Ohio, I quickly realized I wanted to go to school out of state. Southern charm brought me to Tuscaloosa, Alabama. After studying Fashion Retailing at the University of Alabama, I jumped into the retail world head first, with experiences in boutiques, bridal, and luxury retailers. For me, the wheels are always turning, and I discovered my niche within retail, personal styling. I began to build a freelance business conducting wardrobe consultations, closet clean outs, and personal styling appointments both in homes and in stores. You could say my blogging journey ultimately begins here, with my love of fashion. However, that itch to travel and explore continues to run deep. My husband, Justin, and I moved from Cincinnati, to Houston in 2019, and have enjoyed traveling and sharing our experiences around the globe. We have been so inspired by other cultures, especially when it comes to food! My middle eastern roots often land me in the kitchen, where I can get creative with different flavors and dishes.
