Top Scents For Men
A variety of cologne recommendations at all price points
If you’re not wearing men’s cologne, you’ve probably thought about purchasing it as a gift for someone, if you haven’t already. I can admit to all of you, that I shamelessly wear both Men’s and Women’s fragrances. Some days I prefer a deeper, heavier scent, and others, I prefer something light.
Luckily I’ve dabbled with quite a few scents over the years with Nordstrom, and can give my honest opinion. Holiday shopping is right around the corner, and cologne makes an excellent gift!
Dior Sauvage
Price: $95-$170 (Check for price matching!)
Scent: Woodsy and aromatic with notes of bergamot, ambroxan, and vanilla
This scent is something that I would recommend to clients constantly! I’ve yet to find someone who doesn’t care for it. Highly recommend this as a gifting item for the holidays, great scent to buy blind.
Valentino Uomo
Price: $80-$124
Scent: Vibrant and smooth with notes of bergamot, myrtle liquor, leather, and cedar wood
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Valentino Uomo is hands down my favorite men’s scent. It is such a great gift for a significant other, and is just sexy! I may, or may not wear it myself from time to time. I love how warm the leather and cedar notes are.
Creed Aventus
Price: $325 (Pricey, does get price matched from time to time)
Scent: Rich and fresh with notes of blackcurrant leaves, apple, bergamot, patchouli, pinkberries, oakmoss, and vanilla
If you’re looking for a luxury scent that will last a very long time, this is it. I personally like to layer this scent with Creed Silver Mountain water for an extra fresh, crisp scent.
Tom Ford Oud Wood
Price: $155-$340 (Currently price matched! $131-$289)
Scent: Woodsy and bold, with notes of rose wood, cardamom, oud wood, sandalwood, tonka bean, and amber
Tom Ford just knows how to do sexy. If you love a bold scent that people will notice, I definitely recommend Tom Ford fragrances. They are very potent, and this warm blend of notes is sure to have people asking what scent you’re wearing.
Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb Night Vision
Price: $85-$105 (Currently price matched! $72-$90)
Scent: Zesty and Fresh with warm notes of bergamot, grapefruit, cardamom, sage, almond, patchouli, cedarwood, and tonka bean
I’ve always been a fan of Viktor & Rolf scents, especially FlowerBomb. Night Vision isn’t a heavy scent like the original SpiceBomb, instead it is a spicy fresh fragrance, which I absolutely love! This cologne, to me, exudes confidence, without arrogance.
